Memorial Day Cake

Here is a cake I had done for my Daughters party. It was 93 degrees in my kitchen that week and above. I have no AC in the house. This was a big challange to make because of the heat. Things started to melt and slide. I just went with it. Well, the cake made it to the party! The cake was Vanilla with a Raspberry filling covered in Fondant. I used the Stand and Salute cart.

The Little Mermaid Cake

This is a cake my Granddaughter wanted for her B-Day. It took about a week to bake and put together. It turned out pretty nice! I used my Expression for some of the deco's. I tried to mold the little mermaid out of Fondant /Gumpaste but had no luck. I decided to use the top of a doll and saved the rest so she could put it back together and play with it. The shell she is sitting in is made out of all White Chocolate. The rock is made out of RKT and covered in Fondant.

Grill Cake Made For My Son-In-Law

Dan is a BIG fan of BBQ! So I decited to make him a Cake in the shape of a grill. ..lol What a challenge that was! Everything but the lid is made from MMF, Gumpaste and RCK (rice krispie treats ) . It took a week to make only because alot of the decorations had to dry before I could put it together. This cake is half Vanilla and half Chocolate with Buttercream filling . I used toasted Mini marshmallows for the charcoal under the grill and then painted some of them red for the hot looking coals.

It's a Party Cake.

This is one of the first cakes I made using the Cricut Cake machine. I used the Celebration cart and the Sweet Treats cart. The cake is vanilla with Buttercream filling and covered with MMF (Marshmallow Fondant ) .

Scrapping with the Cricut Cake.

I think one of my favorite things to do is bake and decorate cakes. I enjoy seeing the surprise look a someones face after seeing their completed cake. The first thing I see when looking at a decorated cake is how it was made and designed. To me it is Art first ! Then how did they do it and how does it taste. I grew up in a family that made all of our baking from scratch!  Taste is very important. It might look good but that doesn't mean it taste good ! I think the more Love you put into it the better it comes out !

Edible Cricut Rose Card

This is an edible card I made using the Cricut Cake Machine. I wanted to try something different. The card is made from MMF (marshmallow fondant ). I was asked by Jennifer Atwood of Atwoods Bakery ( CuttingEdgeCakeArt.com ) to do a tutorial for this card. I was so excited and honored to this for her!

Memories

There is nothing like Scrapbooking! I enjoy it very much. I am very content in my craft room just looking through papers, photos, and embellishments to work with. For me Scrapbooking is a place for Memories! A place to look back on and remember.
